Nestling in the heart of Sweetwater County, Dr. Haque is proud to open her practice, Rock Springs Periodontics in Rock Springs, WY. She purchased the practice in June 2016, from Dr. David Okano who had served the people of Sweetwater County for over 30 years. She feels very fortunate for the opportunity to continue providing care and treatment in Sweetwater County.
With a Biology degree from Juniata College, Dr. Haque went to pursue her dental hygiene certificate from University of Pittsburgh. During her time at the Dental hygiene school, she discovered her passion to be a dentist. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. You will often hear her joking that Cleveland holds a special place in her heart, as she got her degree and her husband there!
After dental school, Dr. Haque went to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut completing 2 years of general practice residency. During her first year of her residency, she received the honor of being named Resident of the Year in 2006. She also served as a chief resident her second year of her residency, being responsible for 6 first-year dental residents. She then went to complete her Periodontal training at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2010. Over the past 7 years, Dr. Haque has worked full time as a periodontal associate in Texas, Utah and Colorado.
Dr. Haque is board certified as recognized as a Diplomate with the American Board of Periodontology. She is also a member of American Academy of Periodontology, Internal Congress of Oral Implantologists and American Dental Association.
Dr. Haque initially came to Wyoming in 2016 and fell in love with our cowboy state! She loves the nature, open spaces, and is mesmerized with the majestic mountains and breath taking views! There is never a dull moment in her life as she balances being a wife, the mother of three beautiful children, and her professional career.
Dr. Haque is looking forward to being an integral part of this community and welcomes you in her dental home, Rock Springs Periodontics.
